True Modularity
Much like the LEGO system, the Phoenix Modular Tactical System is designed to allow for multiple configurations to achieve any building size or shape using our repetitive symmetric components.
With our system, customers are able to easily switch locations of walls and openings, add / remove sections of the modules, or attach additional modules to expand the building in any direction (up, down, or sideways).
Naturally, with a greater number of available components, the more possibilities of design configurations there will be.
In Comparison
When talking about modular construction, most think about a system that incorporates either shipping containers, tents, or a combination of both.
Moducan is offering modular solutions that incorporates neither, but rather, offers the ability to construct using only our specialty components in order to form the temporary buildings.
When comparing the Phoenix Modular Tactical System with the traditional systems, some of the capability benefits are:
Capabilities | Phoenix® System | Shipping Container | Tent |
---|---|---|---|
Ability to accommodate specialty equipment within building envelope. | Yes | No | No |
Ability to integrate external decks (using system components). | Yes | No | No |
Ability to integrate both solid & flexible (fabric) walls. | Yes | No | No |
Ability to level building post-construction (as ground below may shifts). | Yes | No | No |
Ability to build on un-level ground. | Yes | No | No |
Ability to modify external design post-construction. | Yes | No | No |
System to protect internal space from floods. | Yes | No | No |
Ease of delivery to and from any site location (globally). | Yes | No | Yes |
Ability to create high ceilings (>9’-0” as measured internally from floor to ceiling). | Yes | No | Yes |
Ability to disassemble and store for future use. | Yes | No | Yes |
System to protect internal space from wildfires. | Yes | Yes | No |
System to protect internal space from strong (hurricane force) winds. | Yes | Yes | No |
System to withstand extreme weather conditions. | Yes | Yes | No |
Ability to secure (lock) the building. | Yes | Yes | No |
Ability to build in multiple levels (≥2 stories). | Yes | Yes | No |
Ability to modify internal design post-construction. | Yes | Yes | No |
Ability to incorporate HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Condition) within space. | Yes | Yes | No |
Above grade (standalone) floor system. | Yes | Yes | No |
The Phoenix System offers ideal solutions to military installations with capabilities of quickly erecting any size building (having a single or double storey), buildable on complex sites, with the ability to redesign and relocate them, and with no need for foundation - so essentially, once removed, leaving behind no trace of the buildings ever being there.
Also - we recognize that when deploying fighters to a war zone, knowing what to expect reduces surprise and anxiety.
Since the Phoenix system provides consistent buildings, it will allow for a predictable factor in battle logistics for both the command and the men and women on the ground, knowing ahead of time when deploying the troops in an unfamiliar territory that they will have with them their familiar building system that they know will provide them with both a safe and comfortable environment.
